Coolum Residents Association - Why
Our Mission
CRA is a local community organisation that aims to identify and promote sustainable opportunities to preserve and enhance amenity and facilities, and promote local art, artists and culture in Coolum Beach and nearby areas.
Our Motivation
Coolum Residents Association has a long history of ‘loving’ Coolum with ideas and action.
A subcommittee of the former CRA started the highly valued Coolum Cliffs Boardwalk in June 2000.
CRA is still striving to help Coolum and currently has four themes that it is wanting to explore and progress.
Themes
CRA currently has 3 distinct activity themes, each with a dedicated sub-committee of CRA members. The sub-committees and their main focus of activity are: Active Transport, seeking to progress active transport links. Art and Culture, which is looking to discover opportunities for activating art and places plus the creation of visual assets within Coolum.
Nambour to Coolum Trail - N2C
CRA’s initiative to get the Nambour to Coolum (N2C) Trail constructed is making progress with a Joint Working Group (JWG) drawn together to work with council and identify opportunities for funding and advocacy. More N2C Info
Coolum Art Project - CAP
The CAP subcommittee exists to investigate/identify the strategies, opportunities and responsibilities for activating art within Coolum, seeking to facilitate the creation of visual assets that are valued by community. More CAP info
